ROGER WILLIAMS

Roger Williams was born into an artistic family in the light-filled southwestern United States. Like his father, Roger chose to learn the way of art in an academic setting.  The important basic skills of drawing, design, and the use of form, line, space, texture, and color were studied formally which eventually led to a Master of Arts Degree.  Roger has also taught art from elementary to the university, as well as the community level.

The substance of Roger Williams' paintings comes from his experiences and his extensive travels.  This plein-air work in the field is the foundation of his studio paintings.  Roger now lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he continues to pursue a successful painting career.
